Andrew Greenwood is a Republican member of the Bargersville Town Council, serving at large since 2020. He is an attorney and real estate developer with more than 20 years of experience working on projects throughout Indiana, helping communities navigate growth while protecting what makes them unique.
Andrew and his family have lived in Bargersville for over a 18 years. They chose to put down roots here because of its strong sense of community, its agricultural heritage, and the belief that this is a place where families can thrive. That same belief led Andrew to get more involved locally, including serving on the Bargersville VISION 2040 Committee, where he worked alongside other community members to think carefully about how the town should grow over the next generation.
On the Town Council, Andrew has been a steady voice for responsible growth that respects Bargersville’s past while preparing for its future. He believes development should attract quality businesses and residents, strengthen downtown, and create opportunities for local families without turning Bargersville into something it was never meant to be. He has also prioritized maintaining fiscally conservative policies to ensure the town remains financially sound and accountable to taxpayers.
Andrew understands that growth brings both opportunities and challenges. He believes strong leadership requires practical experience, a willingness to listen, and the courage to make tough decisions when necessary.
Above all, he remains committed to keeping Bargersville a community that families are proud to call home for generations to come.
Andrew believes every dollar collected by the town belongs first to the people who earned it and is an advocate of limited Government that should only be involved where the private market cannot efficiently take care of things, for example, police, roads, etc. He supports keeping taxes as low as possible while maintaining essential services, and believes government should live within its means just like families do.
Andrew is committed to careful budgeting, long term financial planning, and protecting Bargersville’s strong fiscal position. He supports responsible reserves, disciplined spending, and transparency so taxpayers can have confidence their money is being managed wisely.
With growth comes challenges, and any development must be appropriate, measured and thoughtful with thorough short and long term analysis. Andrew supports development that strengthens our tax base, protects property values, continues to attract great families and honors Bargersville’s heritage, agricultural roots and small town character. He believes we can welcome opportunity without becoming something we are not and learn from other communities in central Indiana to incorporate the best for Bargersville.
Andrew understands that roads, utilities, public safety, and connectivity are the foundation for long term success. He supports proactive investment in infrastructure to ensure Bargersville is prepared for the future while avoiding unnecessary debt and financial risk.
Andrew’s focus remains simple: protect taxpayers, guide growth responsibly, and keep Bargersville a strong, safe, and thriving community for generations to come.
